blog conclusion post
Welp, here I am at the end of the semester. I must say it’s been way too long, and I’ve waited for this moment. Not because I’m stressed out or that this has been a pain, quite the contrary in fact. Really it comes down to me reflecting on how long I’ve been at this school and how much it’s time for me to go. I know that sounds a little… bitter? but it’s not, I promise.
Now, when I write a conclusion post it’s hard for me not to get into all the things I’ll miss about college… I’m concluding my time here! But really I’ll keep it to Library and Internet Resources. This class has helped me quite a bit this semester, particularly in researching for my term paper in my Modernist Poetry class. The really awful part about this post is that now I’ll admit why I had such a great experience in this class: Truthfully, I didn’t know that much about finding resources in the library and online! AND, oh god… I’m a senior! How sad, I know. But regardless, I’ve learned so much, especially with regards to search engines. Using google scholar is basically my new best friend as an English major. The pathfinder project proved especially helpful because it reminded me that finding sources shouldn’t just be a race to find the easiest thing that fits, but rather… it needs to be an efficient search.
Of course, I love using a blog. I have to say I’m not the best poster. I wanted to be when I first got in the class, and I truely believe in using a blog. It’s so easy, and convinent. I’m going to admit another embarassing fact: I check celebrity gossip blogs almost every day. It’s SO easy, and the posting of pictures and videos is a snap. I don’t see why it isn’t used for every class. I know in my film theory class we used blogs, and were essentially required to post videos. Thank god for that. It’s brilliant, I tell you. \
Regardless, this semester has been interesting for me. I can’t quite pin down too much on how I feel now that everything is ending, because really I can’t tell you how it’s beginning. I don’t know where I’ll be post-may 10th, and that is a scary fact. I’m rambling now, but I will re-iterate this point: I honestly wish I would of taken this class my freshman year, and really… they should probably make it mandatory.
And to sign off, I tried to make this video show up on my blog, but couldn’t get it to load in the media player, so here is the youtube URL for it:

Enjoy it everybody, and thanks Professor Bryan!
